HERE WE GO! Jackson survives Chelsea’s cut… but Garnacho isn’t so lucky

Big shake-up at Stamford Bridge, and Fabrizio Romano has the exclusive details on both ends of it.
Let’s start with the good news for Jackson. After weeks of uncertainty over his Chelsea future, the striker has officially been welcomed back into the fold. Xabi Alonso himself has confirmed Jackson will travel with the squad for their pre-season tour in Asia, giving him a genuine shot to impress and stake his claim under the new manager. For a player many had already written off, this is about as strong a vote of confidence as it gets.
On the flip side, it’s a very different story for Alejandro Garnacho. The Argentine winger has now been formally axed from Chelsea’s squad plans and won’t be involved moving forward, a clear signal that his time at the club is coming to an end.
As for where he goes next, AS Roma have emerged as serious contenders, with other clubs also said to be circling. Chelsea, though, aren’t budging easily on their valuation, holding firm at a €50 million asking price for the winger.
One door opens, another closes. Chelsea’s pre-season is shaping up to be anything but quiet. 🔵
